Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every account starts with 300 resume screenings and 30 AI interviews free — no credit card required. Run them against a real role, keep every report you generate, and upgrade only when you’re ready.
Do I need an ATS to use VeraHire?
No. VeraHire works standalone — upload resumes, screen, and interview without any other system. If you do run an ATS, we offer 50+ integrations so scores, transcripts, and reports flow straight into your existing workflow.
How does billing work?
Paid plans are a flat monthly (or annual) fee that includes a bundle of interviews and resume screenings. Go over your bundle and any extra usage is billed at that plan's overage rate — the bigger the plan, the lower the rate. Per interview: Pay As You Go $7.00, Starter $6.50, Growth $6.00, Value $5.75, Plus $5.50, Scale $5.25. Per resume screening: $0.25 (Pay As You Go / Starter), $0.22 (Growth), $0.20 (Value), $0.18 (Plus), $0.17 (Scale). The prices shown are the annual rate; choose annual billing to save 15–20% versus month-to-month. No setup fees, no per-seat charges. Only SMS is billed separately.
What counts as an “interview”?
An interview is one completed first-round AI interview with a candidate — a natural-language conversation that produces a full transcript and a decision-ready report. Resume screenings (AI scoring of a single resume against a role) are counted separately toward your plan's monthly screening allotment, but they're included in your subscription — not a separate charge.
Is resume screening billed separately?
No. Resume screenings are included in your subscription — every plan comes with a monthly allotment (e.g. 300 on Growth), and they count toward that bundle rather than appearing as a separate line item. If you exceed your bundle, extra screenings are billed at your plan's overage rate. The only thing billed separately from your plan is SMS.
What happens if I go over my plan, and can I upgrade?
Nothing breaks — usage beyond your monthly bundle simply continues at your plan's per-tier overage rate, so you're never blocked mid-hire. If you're regularly over, upgrade anytime from your account to a larger bundle with lower overage rates; the change takes effect immediately and is pro-rated.
Is VeraHire secure and compliant?
Yes. Candidate data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access controls. Enterprise plans add SSO, advanced access management, and dedicated support to meet your security and compliance requirements. Reach out via Book a demo for documentation.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There are no long-term contracts on self-serve plans — upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime from your account. When you cancel, you keep full access through the end of the period you've already paid for, and we won't bill you again after that. As is standard, the current billing period isn't pro-rated or refunded — you simply aren't charged for the next one.
